Meet the Judges

Larry Wilson received his Bachelor of Design Degree, University of Florida, Magna Cum Laude. After practicing in Houston, Washington, DC and New York City, Wilson relocated to Jacksonville, Florida.  He maintains a studio at the CoRK arts district.

Wilson has exhibited in national museums and galleries including the Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens, Jacksonville, FL; Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) Jacksonville, FL; The Fine Art Museum of the South, Montgomery, AL; The Boca Museum of Art, Boca Raton, FL; The Alexander Breast Museum at Jacksonville University and The Nathan Wilson Gallery at Florida Community College in Jacksonville. His work has also been exhibited at the Williams-Cornelius Gallery, SMART Gallery, Media Image, Spiller Vincenty Gallery, Fairfax Gallery, the Cultural Center at Ponte Vedra Beach and the Alford Ackerman Gallery. His work can currently be seen at Steller Gallery, Ponte Vedra Beach, FL; The Vault Gallery in Jacksonville, FL; and the Signature Gallery in Tallahassee, FL.

Wilson was appointed Chair to the Mayor’s Committee on Art in Public Places by Mayor Peyton and was a Board Member of the Cultural Council of Greater Jacksonville.  Wilson has served as a Trustee on the board of the Jacksonville Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) and currently serves on the Jacksonville Aviation Authority Arts Commission.

Lynn Tomaszewski is an interdisciplinary artist whose conceptually-driven visual practice, strongly informed by science, explores how technology facilitates, alters, and influences perception and subsequently, how perception constructs ideas and creates experience. Tomaszewski is currently the Director of the School of Art + Art History at the University of Florida where she also holds the title of Professor of Practice. She has participated in residencies at the Roger Brown House, Vermont Studio Center and been an affiliate artist at the Headlands Center for the Arts.

Before becoming the Director of the SA+AH at the University of Florida, Lynn Tomaszewski was the Associate Dean of Graduate Studies at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and a professor and chair of foundations at the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design.
